178. Kézzel, kisméretu pergamenre írt hibátlan Eszter-tekercs (megilla) eredeti, féldrágakövekkel dúsan kirakott, orientalizáló stílusban, 4 db. dombormuvel díszített antik ezüst tokjában. A doboz felso részén ezüst madár és csengo láthatók. Feltehetoleg Izrael (Palesztina), 19. század. A tekercs magassága: 15,5 cm. Az ezüst tok magassága: 41 cm. (Fényképük a katalógus borítóján látható.) (A megila eredeti tulajdonosa Herskovits Béla magyar származású világhíru kanadai fokántor volt. Özvegye révén került a jelenlegi tulajdonos birtokába.) KÜLÖNLEGES RITKASÁG! Flawless Esther-scroll (megilla) handwritten on small pergamen. In original antique silver case richly ornated with semi-precious stones in oriental style, decorated with 4 embossments. A silver bird and a bell can bee seen on the upper part of the box. Presumably Izrael (Palestina), 19th century. The height of the scroll: 15,5 cm. The height of the casing: 41 cm. (Pictures can be seen on the cover of the catalogue.) (The original owner of he megilla was Béla Herskovits the world famous Canadian chief cantor ascending from Hungary. It got to t's present owner through his widow.) EXTREME CURIOSITY!
